On the 18 & 19 December 2024 an European summit will be organized in the buildings of the European Council, rue de la Loi 165 at 1000 Brussels. As during the previous summits, the mayor and police of Brussels will minimize disruptions in your neighborhood whilst guaranteeing security of Heads of State, citizens and goods.

The security perimeter will be as follows (accessible with a pass) :

  • Schuman roundabout ;
  • Rue Froissart from number 101 to 143 ;
  • Rue de la Loi, between the Schuman roundabout and the “Residence Palace” ;
  • Rue de la Loi, between the Schuman roundabout and le boulevard Charlemagne.

Streets only local traffic, accessible without a pass :

  • Rue Archimède between rue Stevin and the Schuman roundabout ;
  • Avenue de Cortenbergh, between rue Stevin and the Schuman roundabout (limited access during escorts) ;
  • Rue de la Loi, between avenue de la Joyeuse Entrée and the Schuman roundabout ;
  • Avenue de la Joyeuse Entrée ;
  • Avenue d’Auderghem, between rue de la Loi and the Schuman roundabout ;
  • Rue Breydel ;
  • Rue Froissart, between rue Juste Lipse and the rue Belliard ;
  • Rue Juste Lipse.

Parking outside on the 18 & 19 December 2024 :

During the summit (possibly longer) parking will be strictly forbidden for all kinds of vehicles (cars, motorcycles, steps, scooters, etc):

  • within the security perimeter
  • in the streets where only, local traffic is allowed.
  • on the routes taken by the delegations
  • on Chaussée d’Etterbeek, between rue Belliard and rue Van Maerlant
  • on rue Van Maerlant
  • on rue Belliard, between chaussée d’Etterbeek and avenue d’Auderghem

Important remarks, within the safety perimeter :

  • No deliveries will be allowed.
  • You will not be allowed to put your bins out.
  • The businesses will have to remove their terraces.
  • All windows will have to remain shut.

Who needs to apply for a pass?

  • Anyone living within the security perimeter.
  • Anyone working within the security perimeter.

No exceptions will be made for people outside the security perimeter or for people with access to their building via an entrance outside the security perimeter.

Who has access to the security perimeter?

  • Anyone on foot with a digital or printed pass and their ID.
  • With a vehicle:
    • Official delegations accredited by the Council
    • Emergency and police services
    • Police-accredited vehicles (access only through avenue d’Auderghem)

How to obtain a pass?

Requests must be made individually and electronically using the form available at https://polbru.be/eurotop-en.

The deadline for pass requests will be Friday 13th November 2024
